Carmen Miranda

Portuguese by birth, Carmen Miranda was created in Lapa Rio, who in the 1910s and 1920s was a melting pot of artists, grifters and people of all kinds. Assimilating aesthetics, language and the new sounds of the place and time, learned the slang and the wheels bohemian, her favorites, and created a character that would be a representation of
  Century 20.

Carmen was the first multimedia artist from Brazil. Talented, not only sang, danced and acted, but I knew intuitively move with ease through what would become the cultural industry.
